Wow… It’s officially been 3 months since I last blogged, and you’re probably wondering what the heck I’ve been up to! The past couple of months have been a whirlwind, and I’ve had some incredible experiences. First of all, I was able to take on a temporary job with the College of Fine Arts at OU for 10 weeks that allowed me to gain some great experience working in graphic design as well as working with amazing people who are passionate about the arts. It was a dream come true! This job and school have taken over my life the past few months in a great way. I’ve been extremely busy keeping up with everything, but it’s all coming to a close beautifully.
I’m FINALLY graduating with a degree in Visual Communications, or, graphic design. My experience at OU has been phenomenal as its challenged me and my growth as an artist. My classmates have been the most incredible blessing of all, as we’ve been through a lot together! They truly are the some of the most talented, hilarious, and lovely people I have ever had the honor of knowing, and while I will miss them like crazy, I can’t wait to see all of the remarkable things they will accomplish. They are dreamers and visionaries, and it’s great to see them taking the steps to pursue their passions in life. I will always have a place in my heart for them.
That all being said, we have been working tirelessly to prepare for our Senior Capstone Show which is set to open next Sunday, April 29th. It will be open for 2 weeks, and we would LOVE for anyone and everyone to come see our exhibit! The other School of Art seniors will have exhibits as well in areas of painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, film, etc. It should be a spectacular show full of young talent, which is exciting!
Here are the details:
Through the chaos of this semester, I’ve been taking some time to contemplate where I see this business going. I’m really excited about the future, and I can’t wait to share my plans with you. This summer will be an unforgettable summer full of travel, working, and transforming my business into something I can be even more proud of. I will be blogging a lot more, so stay tuned for exciting developments! I can’t wait to practice my craft outside of the classroom, even though school has provided me the foundation to do so. Life is good and I can’t wait to share this journey with all of you. Thanks for all the love and support over the years, and come see our show!
